Game Notes
The
Golden Bears pounded the Aggies on the ground rushing for 241 yards.
Running backs Justin Forsett and Marshawn Lynch both rushed for over 100
yards in the game. Nate Longshore passed for 19-24 and 235 yards
with a touchdown. The defense led by Brandon Mebane, Desmond
Bishop, and Deymion Hughes held Texas A&M to just 10 points. The
Golden Bears poured it against the Aggie defense...literally. With
time running out senior quarterback Steve Levy changed the play in the
huddle and instead of taking a knee he handed the ball to freshman Bryan
Schutte for a 3 yard touchdown. The usually cool Jeff Tedford gave Steve
Levy an earful on national television when Levy returned to the
sidelines.
